The Ravdin Fund is a permanently endowed fund of the Friends Council on Education, through which the Council makes matching grants to small Friends schools (250 students or fewer) to provide consultants in the areas of fiduciary responsibility, long-range financial planning, fundraising, and stewardship of financial resources.

Small Friends schools with financial need should apply directly to the Friends Council for a grant to defray expenses. If the request is not made by an employee of the school, it must be officially approved by the head of school. Funds will be awarded to schools depending on the need and on the amount of funds available. In applying for a Ravdin Fund grant, the school is required to reach out to donors for the match. In this way, the school strengthens its fundraising function, which is a goal for the grant.

Grants will not exceed $500 per school in any given calendar year. Grant applications are considered when they are received. As there is an annual limit to the amount of funds available, it is best to apply early in the school year, or in the spring of the year prior to when the school will need the consultant.
